Nestled in North Perth, this 1920s home has been transformed into a harmonious blend of classic charm and modern functionality, perfectly suited for a growing family. Previously, the home’s potential was overshadowed by ill-conceived renovations that failed to make the most of the spacious garden to the rear. By demolishing the outdated lean-to housing the dining room and laundry, we introduced a bright and open-plan living and dining area. This new space seamlessly connects with the north-facing rear garden and alfresco BBQ area, offering a sanctuary for relaxation and entertainment.

A strategically positioned carport at the rear, accessible via the right-of-way, not only provides essential off-street parking but also serves as additional undercover space for entertaining. A compact storage area was thoughtfully integrated along the boundary to maximize utility. Inside, the transformation continued with the conversion of the internal living room into a luxurious master bedroom, complemented by a sleek walk-through robe leading to a private ensuite with private garden views.

Cost-effective enhancements were made by repurposing kitchen cabinets, introducing new door handles, and adding a functional island benchtop. The existing bathroom was reimagined, expanding into the hallway to incorporate a bath, creating a generous and family-friendly space. Restorations were carried out with care, preserving the home’s historic character.

Large bifolding doors flood the new living area with natural light, while beautifully landscaped gardens featuring natural stone paving, weathering steel, and native plantings invite outdoor living.
